What Does Junk Removal Actually Include?
"Junk removal" covers more than just driving your stuff to the dump. Here's what's actually part of the service when you book with a company like ours.
What's Included
- The lifting and loading. You don't need to move anything outside first — we do the physical work, wherever the items are.
- The hauling. We handle transportation and proper disposal or donation of what's removed.
- Basic cleanup. We sweep up and leave the space reasonably clean after removal, not just empty.
What's Usually Not Included
Junk removal isn't demolition or deep cleaning. If a job involves tearing out fixtures, disconnecting gas or plumbing lines, or a full move (packing and transporting items you're keeping), that's outside standard junk removal — though it's always worth asking, since some of it may still be possible depending on the job.
Disconnecting Appliances
One common point of confusion: appliances should generally be unplugged, and disconnected from water or gas lines if applicable, before we arrive. We handle the removal itself, not the disconnection.
